A young woman and young man named Milun found a new means of communication using--believe it or not-- a swan. How did this wonderful new innovation come about?

Milun, a knight born in South Wales, was the best knight in all the land, and his inability to be bested in battle or tournaments was known throughout several countries. When a beautiful girl, the daughter of a nobleman, heard of Milun, she conceived a deep love and sent messages to him that she would give herself at his wish. They fell in love, and one day she discovered she was pregnant.

For fear of her parents, the girl gave her son to her sister to raise. The sister was to be told the entire story but to withhold it from the child until the child was old enough to learn the truth. At that point, the child could seek out his or her father.

Milun left his home to seek fame as a mercenary. Meanwhile, his beloved was betrothed by her father to a nobleman, which saddened her from loss of Milun.

When Milun returned from his travels, sad over his separation from his beloved, he was happy to learn that she lived near his own home.

He composed a plan where he sent a letter to her hidden within the feathers of a swan. He entrusted a squire to trick his way into the woman's home to give to her the bird. The squire made good time to the castle, and there convinced the castle porter that he hasdcaught a lovely swan that he felt obliged to present personally to the lady of the castle.

She was overjoyed to read the letter from Milun, to discover that because of his sadness in being separated, he would do whatever she asked so they could be reunited. He asked her to devise a way for them to meet, and sent the particulars through the swan. He told her to starve the swan for three days and then tie the letter around its neck before releasing it, so that it would surely fly back home for food. She kept the swan well-fed for a month, after which time she wrote the letter, starved the bird, and then sent it to Milun, who was joyful to receive it. He followed the same process to get back in touch with her, always feeding the swan for a while before putting it through the starving again.

The lovers continued this means of communication for 20 years, using the swan as messenger. Who would have thought that swans would make such an ideal and incospicuous messenger between lovers? Not only could swan messaging really be beneficial for long lost lovers, but for the common citizen, the businessman, and even for communication between dear friends. Be on the lookout for messenger swan shops opening near you, a new means of communication that will truly change the way you live.
